A glittering black chunk of rough-cut organic druzy (drusy) to add to your jewelry collection.
 
Druzy refers to tiny, sparkling crystals that form on or in another stone. In this case, the crystals, including golden pyrite, have formed on black agate, giving this piece its black coloring. The crystals provide wonderful shimmer and texture.
 
I've hand-wrapped this gemstone onto a sterling silver bail and have hung it from a very simple sterling silver box chain. The chain has a two-inch extension, allowing you to secure this pendant between 16 and 18 inches.
 
While this piece of druzy is chunky and primitive, it appears delicate and feminine around the neck. The stone itself is about 13mm - attached to the bail, it hangs about 0.75 inches from the chain.
